7 Days and 6 Nights - Trek through the amazing canyons of Itaimbezinho and Malacara, with their rivers, waterfalls, strange formations, and their forest on the abyss and their endless horizon. Listen to the sound of the woods and discover the most beautiful region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, this area is still one of the world's best kept secrets!

Begin in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and depart towards the mountains arriving in the town of São Francisco de Paula. Lodging is at the Hotel Veraneio Hampel, which dates back to the turn of the century, surrounded by lavish gardens and private lakes in the heart of the mountain region. Enjoy delicious colonial dinners in the true gaúcho tradition of delicious "in the hole" barbecues as well as dishes with German and Italian flavor brought over by the European immigrants who settled this area, reminiscent of their own homelands.

Take part in the typical gaúcho's activity, horsebacking. It will take place at the "Passo Alegre" farm, in São Francisco de Paula.

You will go up to the shores of the Santa Cruz River by horse, going through araucária woods, fields and plains. Preparation for our first of five days of trekking begins through the trails of the Ferradura Park, up rivers, over waterfalls and breathtaking sights.
Difficulty level: Moderate.
