Why should you come to our Steelhead Fly Fishing School?

The Steelhead Fly Fishing School’s mission is to teach philosophies and techniques to students in the art of fly fishing for Steelhead.

Fly fishing for Steelhead is challenging therefore extremely rewarding once a fish has been landed. Our goal at the school is to teach traditional and true fly fishing techniques to catch Steelhead. The challenge of catching Steelhead is in using techniques and equipment unique to the sport of fly fishing.

Techniques that are taught here include: Down and Across Swing, Dead Drift Nymph, Riffle Hitch and Dry Fly. We teach our students to fly fish without ever having to add lead weight to their leaders or tippets. You will also learn how to tie the flies that you'll be using to catch your first steelhead. There is nothing more satisfying than hooking a fish on a fly tied by you!

“I am a beginning fly fisherman. I needed help. I found Indrek’s Steelhead Fly Fishing School, checked it out and signed on. It turned out to be a great fly fishing school and an enjoyable two days of fly fishing. Indrek provided exactly what he said, plus I caught my first steelhead! I am looking forward to catching more steelhead in the future, thanks to Indrek.”
